![]() Reforging an Ancient item still has a chance to roll a Primal item. But, will never degrade to a Legendary item. ![]() Reforging a Primal item will always return a Primal item. The first spot(and the most lucrative) will be in Nagrand, Throne of Elements. You can farm both Primal Fire and Primal Air. The second spot will be in Netherstorm at the bottom right, for Primal Mana. After completing level 70 grift solo, the primal ancients can drop from any source, including Kadala. Sacrificing great quantities of magical ingredients, the Horadric incantation known as the Law of Kulle allows you to reforge any Legendary or Set item. This process will grant your item different attributes, and may transform it into an Ancient or Primal Ancient version of the same item. If you have lots of forgotten souls and finally have gotten an item that is a must for your build, it might be worth it to reforge the items, but most often it’s really, really not. Largely not, due to the amount of materials involved. Whenever you reforge a legendary, the result has a roughly 10% chance to be Ancient. Keep in mind this only applies to the reforge recipe – if you use the convert set item recipe, the result explicitly CANNOT roll ancient. Primal Ancients unlock for a specific mode after one character finishes Greater Rift 70 Solo.
